Upvoted: [Ethics] Gizmodo reviews Amazon’s new 4K TV. Fails to disclose the Amazon affiliate link for the TV via /r/KotakuInAction

Once again Gizmodo doesn't disclose when they add affiliate links to their articles. From their newest piece, Amazon's Cheap 4K TVs Are Good Enough for Almost Anyone, which is a review for Amazon's newest televisions, they include this affiliate link into the article. As of right now the TV isn't out yet and you can pre-order it, but in the url you can see "tag=gizmodoamzn-20" in it. That is a clear indication that this is an affiliate link for Gizmodo.

An important thing to note is that Kinja, which is what ever Gizmodo Media Group website is powered by (soon to include AV Club, The Onion, and Clickhole), updated their Terms of Services back in March. Here is what they say about affiliate links:

We will insert affiliate links into your content where it makes sense, however, if you insert your own affiliate codes then we won’t remove them

Adding them in where it makes sense is fine but not disclosing when there is one is the problem. Especially when it violates the FTC's policy on Affiliate Links
